This video (0:00 - 3:32) explains the Halachic (Jewish legal) requirements for women regarding the daytime Kiddush on Shabbat, based on Sephardi traditions and the teachings of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. The speaker breaks down the obligation based on a woman's individual prayer habits:
Women who pray Shacharit and Musaf: Their obligation to say Kiddush begins after Musaf (1:08). If they feel weak or are busy with household duties, they may have a light snack before Kiddush (1:17-1:44).
Women who only pray Shacharit: Their obligation to say Kiddush begins immediately after Shacharit (2:09-2:12). They should not eat anything after praying until they have recited or heard Kiddush (2:16-2:18).
Women who do not pray Shacharit: For those whose morning routine does not include early prayer, the obligation for Kiddush begins upon waking (2:39-2:43). However, they are permitted to have tea or coffee for strength before making Kiddush (2:51-3:08).
